Gingerbread Raw Balls

Continuing on with my Christmas themed raw balls, here are my Gingerbread Balls. These are great for those of you who (like me) love a strong kick of ginger. I’ve also discovered that these work really well if you mix a couple of balls into a bowl of porridge to give it some flavour and sweetness without any refined sugar.

On top of this, ginger is great for this time of year for boosting your immune system. With the amount of coughs, colds and flu going around, we all need all the help we can get.

I hope you enjoy these…I find them addictive.



170g Medjool Dates Pitted (Approx. 9 Large Dates)
80g Raw Cashews (you can pre-ground these if it is easier)
60g Ground Almonds
2 tbsp Ground ginger (this is a very strong ginger flavour – reduce this if you don’t like your ginger too hot)
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
25g Oats (I think we could have done double that)

Blend all the ingredients together in a good blender. Then roll into 64 small balls.

Each ball is 25 kcal, 1.2g Fat (0.2 of which is saturated), 0.5g protein, 2.7g carbs (1.8g of which is sugars)


I also put a few in the oven for 10 mins about 180 degrees C and they were really tasty like that also.
